Incident Summary:

09/28/2014: Assailants opened fire on the vehicle of Malik Gul Akbar in Dara Kali area, Salarzai tehsil, Bajaur agency, Federally Administered Tribal Areas, Pakistan. Akbar, a pro-government tribal elder and Salarzai Qaumi Lashkar leader, was killed and his driver was injured in the assault. Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility for the incident, stating that it targeted Akbar because of his involvement in activities against the TTP.
