09/17/2014: Assailants threw a grenade and opened fire on Muhammad Ibrahim outside of his private residence in Mandera city, Mandera county, Kenya. Ibrahim, the assistant chief of Mandera East, was killed and his daughter was injured in the assault. No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
