09/10/2014: Approximately 20 assailants attacked a military detachment in Baliki village, Midsayap town, North Cotabato province, Philippines. There were no reported casualties as the military personnel successfully repulsed the attack. The Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Movement (BIFM) claimed responsibility for the incident, stating that it carried out the attack in response to the Filipino government's submission of a proposal that would create a new Bangsamoro autonomous region.
