Incident Summary:

09/07/2014: Approximately 50 assailants stormed Buratai town, Borno state, Nigeria. The attackers set fire to telecommunication masts, destroyed a school, and targeted the residence of Major General Tukur Buratai, a former military commander. Security forces repelled the attack, killing 21 assailants. Additionally, three soldiers were injured in the clash. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the raid to Boko Haram.
