Incident Summary:

09/06/2014: Assailants opened fire on Eden Molina Corral in San Miguel de Allende municipality, Guanajuato state, Mexico. Corral, the mayor of Guadalupe y Calvo, was not harmed in the attack, but his bodyguard and a municipal treasurer were wounded. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources identified the leader of the assailants at Jaime David Zuniga, a former police officer.
