08/27/2014: Assailants opened fire on a Lebanese Army post in Wadi Hmeid neighborhood, Arsal city, Beqaa governorate, Lebanon. At least one soldier was killed and three others were wounded while an unknown number of assailants were killed and injured in the assault. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to both Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) and Al-Nusrah Front.
