08/24/2014: Assailants opened fire on the convoy of Major General Yahya Al-Omari in Dhamar city, Dhamar governorate, Yemen. Al-Omari, the Governor of Dhamar, was not harmed but at least one soldier was injured in the assault. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources suspect that Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) was behind the attack.
