Incident Summary:
08/10/2014: Assailants kidnapped two civilians, Udairam Reang and Joriham Reang, in Joychandrapara ADC village, Dhalai district, Tripura State, India. One of the hostages was released on November 16, 2014, but the whereabouts of the other was unknown. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the incident to the National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT), who kidnapped the villagers because they had failed to make extortion payments.
