Incident Summary:

07/12/2014: Assailants opened fire on a military border post in Ghakhi area, Federally Administered Tribal Areas, Pakistan. Three soldiers were killed and two others were wounded in the attack, in addition to several assailants. This was one of two similar attacks on border posts in Ghakhi area on July 12, 2014. The Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that the attack was carried out in retaliation to a recent military offensive in the area.
