06/29/2014: An explosive device detonated at Major General Jumaa Unad's residence in Aythah village, Nineveh governorate, Iraq. Unad, the chief of the provincial police, was not harmed in the blast. This was one of seven similar bombings in the area on the same day. No group claimed responsibility for the incidents; however, sources attributed the attacks to Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
