06/23/2014: Assailants opened fire on residents in Nandu village, Kaduna state, Nigeria. At least 17 people were killed in the assault. This was one of two similar attacks on villages in this area on June 23, 2014. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Fulani militants.
