Incident Summary:

06/12/2014: Assailants opened fire on Kurdish Peshmerga forces in Mullah Abdullah, Kirkuk, Iraq. Photojournalist Kamaran Najm was injured in the assault and left behind during the ensuing clash. Najm was abducted from the battlefield and his whereabouts are unknown. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
