06/10/2014: Assailants attacked a military post in Bitta village, Borno state, Nigeria. At least five people were killed and an unknown number of buildings were set on fire in the raid. This was one of two similar attacks on villages on the same day. No group claimed responsibility for the incidents; however, sources attributed the attacks to Boko Haram.
