Incident Summary:
06/05/2014: Assailants fired grenades and detonated explosive devices at a security checkpoint in Bayhan district, Shabwah governorate, Yemen. At least 11 people, including soldiers and civilians, were killed, five soldiers were injured, and an unknown number of people went missing in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).

Criteria 1
