Incident Summary:

04/25/2014: Assailants abducted Yashuhiro Nakamura, a Japanese national, from Cotabato City, Maguindanao province, Philippines. Nakamura was released and recovered by police officials on July 13, 2014, in Guindulungan municipality. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, a source attributed the attack to Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG).
