Incident Summary:

04/08/2014: Assailants opened fire on a mining site in Misisi area, South Kivu province, Democratic Republic of the Congo. They then moved on to attack three Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (FARDC) positions in the area. Four assailants and four soldiers were killed and six soldiers wounded in the attack. The Mayi Mayi claimed responsibility for the incident.
