Incident Summary:

04/07/2014: Assailants attacked Father Francis van der Lugt, a Dutch priest, at his residence in Bustan al-Diwan neighborhood, Homs city, Homs governorate, Syria. The assailants took van der Lugt from his residence and shot him on the street, killing him. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the al-Nusrah Front. However, the Al-Nusrah Front denied responsibility for the incident.
