Incident Summary:

04/04/2014: Assailants attempted to shut down a polling station in Ghalmin area, Chaghcharan district, Ghor province, Afghanistan. A clash erupted when residents resisted the assailants' attempts; six people, three civilians and three attackers, were killed and nine people, four attackers and five civilians, were injured in the clash. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Taliban.
