Incident Summary:

03/08/2014: Gunmen with pistols opened fire on Ghulam Mohammad Dar in Dogri Pora village, Jammu and Kashmir state, India. Dar, the father of a People's Democratic Party (PDP) sarpanch, was killed in the shooting. Sources suspected that Dar's son was the true target of the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, authorities attributed the attack to Hizbul Mujahideen (HM).
