03/08/2014: An explosive device detonated near the convoy of Lieutenant Colonel Abbas al-Rubay'i in Darawish al Arabi area, Diyala governorate, Iraq. Rubay'i, the commander of the Fourth Armoured Brigade, was killed and an unknown number of soldiers were injured in the blast. The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) claimed responsibility for the incident.
