03/05/2014: An explosive device detonated on a bus in Sadr City, Baghdad city, Baghdad governorate, Iraq. One person was killed and seven others were injured in the blast. This was one of seven coordinated bombings targeting Shia areas in Baghdad on this day. No group claimed responsibility for the attack; however, authorities suspected that the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) was involved.

Criteria 1

Successful Attack
Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
