02/18/2014: Assailants opened fire on a car in Rawaeng district, Pattani province, Thailand. At least three people, including two former Royal Thai Rangers and a former Tambon Rawaeng Administrative Organisation employee, were killed and at least one person was wounded in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident.

Criteria 1

Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
