02/07/2014: An explosives-laden vehicle detonated near a senior military officer's convoy in Baiji city, Saladin governorate, Iraq. At least three soldiers were killed and another two soldiers were injured in the blast. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).

Criteria 1

Successful Attack
Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
