Incident Summary:

02/03/2014: An explosives-laden vehicle detonated near a council building in Mahmoudiyah town, Babil governorate, Iraq. The blast killed one person and injured 11 others. This was one of seven bombings in and around Baghdad city and one of two car bombings in Mahmudiyah on this day. No group claimed responsibility for the attacks; however, authorities suspected that the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) was involved.
