Incident Summary:

02/03/2014: A suicide bomber detonated an explosives-laden vehicle near a market in Mahmoudiyah town, Babil governorate, Iraq. In addition to the assailant, four people were killed and 15 others were injured in the blast. This was one of seven bombings in and around Baghdad city and one of two car bombings in Mahmudiyah on this day. No group claimed responsibility for the attacks; however, authorities suspected that the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) was involved.
