01/18/2014: An explosive device detonated at a market in Kirkuk city, Kirkuk, Iraq. This was one of two explosives devices to go off at the market on this date; this first blast drew a crowd to the scene where they could be targeted by the second attack. At least one person was killed and at least 15 others were wounded across both incidents. Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) claimed responsibility for the attacks.
