01/17/2014: An explosive device planted near a natural gas pipeline detonated in Risan area, North Sinai governorate, Egypt. The pipeline, which was run by the Egyptian Natural Gas Company (GASCO), was damaged by the blast. Ansar Bayt al-Maqdis (Ansar Jerusalem) claimed responsibility for the incident.
