01/10/2014: Twenty assailants attacked a military checkpoint in Afgoye, Lower Shebelle, Somalia. At least seven soldiers were killed and 12 were wounded in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, local officials attributed the attack to al-Shabaab.
