Incident Summary:

12/21/2013: An explosive device planted underneath the vehicle of Mohamed Al-Rayami detonated near a market in Al Bayda governorate, Yemen. Al-Rayami, a tribal chief, was killed and two people were wounded in the blast. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources suspect that Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) was behind the attack.
