Incident Summary:

12/08/2013: Assailants set up an unofficial checkpoint and abducted four soldiers in civilian clothing from their vehicle in Lice district, Diyarbakir province, Turkey. The soldiers were released unharmed on the morning of Monday, December 9th, 2013. No group claimed responsibility; however, several sources attributed the kidnapping to the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).
