10/22/2013: Assailants armed with explosives, firebombs, and firearms attacked residents and buildings in Goniri village, Borno state, Nigeria. At least 18 villagers were killed and another 12 villagers were injured in the attack; several buildings were also damaged. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources suspected that Boko Haram was involved.
