Incident Summary:

10/19/2013: A suicide bomber in an explosives-laden vehicle detonated at a military checkpoint in the Mlaiha suburb of Damascus city, Damascus governorate, Syria. At least 16 soldiers were killed and 15 other people, including civilians, were wounded in this attack. No group claimed responsibility for this incident; however, sources attributed it to the Al-Nusrah Front.
