09/10/2013: Assailants opened fire on a vehicle of a senior pro-government tribal leader in Abyan governorate, Yemen. The leader escaped unharmed; however, his two bodyguards were killed in this attack. No group claimed responsibility for this incident; however, sources suspect Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) was responsible.
