Incident Summary:
08/28/2013: A suicide bomber detonated in a parking lot in Kazimiyah neighborhood, Baghdad city, Baghdad governorate, Iraq. This was one of 18 attacks in Baghdad and one of two bombings in Kazimiyah on this day. At least 10 people were killed and 27 others were wounded across the two blasts. Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that the attacks were in retaliation for the execution of Sunni prisoners on August 19, 2013.

Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
