Incident Summary:

08/28/2013: An explosives-laden vehicle detonated near the Riyadh Market in Jisr Diyala district, Diyala governorate, Iraq. At least seven people were killed and 21 others were wounded in the blast. This was one of 18 coordinated bombings in Baghdad on the same day. Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) claimed responsibility, stating that the incidents were in retaliation for the execution of Sunni prisoners on August 19, 2013.
