Incident Summary:

07/27/2013: Assailants kidnapped three State Bank of India employees, Pramod Kumar Singh, Angila Kerketta, Anup Kumar Lal, from the Panki-Balumath state highway in Palamu district, Jharkhand state, India. Singh escaped from custody on July 27, 2013 while Kerketta and Lal were released July 31, 2013. No ransom was paid. No group claimed responsibility; however, authorities attributed the incident to the People's Liberation Front of India (PLFI).
