Incident Summary:

07/15/2013: Two gunmen on a motorbike attacked Hashim Al-Asimi on his way home in southern Lahij governorate, Yemen. Al-Asimi, targeted because he was suspected of being a homosexual, was killed in this attack. No group claimed responsibility for this incident; however, sources suspect Ansar al-Sharia, the local branch of Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), was responsible.
