Incident Summary:

07/14/2013: An explosive device detonated near the office of a Shia political party in Basrah city, Al Basrah governorate, Iraq. This was one of seven coordinated bombings in Shia areas of Iraq and one of three explosions that occurred within minutes of each other at the same office and on this day. At least eight people were killed and 10 more were injured across the three blasts. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources suspected the involvement of Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
