06/24/2013: Assailants fired rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs) and assault rifles at a military position in Tampad village, North Cotabato province, Philippines. This was one of two related attacks on villages in Midsayap municipality on this day. At least one person was injured across both attacks. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, authorities attributed the attack to the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Movement (BIFM).

Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
