Incident Summary:

06/16/2013: A roadside bomb detonated near the convoy of a chief of a police brigade in Mosul city, Nineveh governorate, Iraq. Colonel Abed Traiba was not harmed in the blast, although two of his guards were injured. This was one of 19 coordinated attacks around Iraq on June 16th, 2013. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources suspect Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) of the bombing.
