04/08/2013: An explosive device detonated in the car of a prominent Somali cleric, Sheikh Bashir Ahmed Salaad, in Mogadishu city, Banaadir region, Somalia. Salaad was unharmed in the explosion as he was not in the car. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, authorities attributed the attack to Al-Shabaab.
