Incident Summary:
02/20/2013: Assailants abducted five wildlife sanctuary officials in West Phaileng, Mizoram state, India. The attackers then crossed into Bangladesh and the captives were released on March 28, 2014. There was no claim of responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to the Biswa Mohan faction of the National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT).

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.

Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack. Success is not judged in terms of the larger goals of the perpetrators.
