01/09/2013: Approximately 10 assailants opened fire and threw grenades at an United Nations (UN) World Food Programme compound in Mandera town, North Eastern province, Kenya. There were no reported casualties resulting from the attack, although several offices were damaged. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, officials believe that Al-Shabaab was involved.
