Incident Summary:

11/21/2012: A suicide bomber detonated in the downtown area of Rawalpindi city, Punjab province, Pakistan. The bomber was targeting a Shia Muslim procession; he evaded security and ran into the procession before detonating. In addition to the bomber, at least 25 people were killed and another 62 were injured in the blast, including both civilians and police officers. Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility for the incident, stating that Shia community members were blasphemous and would not be spared.
