Incident Summary:

11/09/2012: Approximately 20 Maoists attacked a prison transport vehicle in Giridh town, Jharkhand state, India. Three police officers and one prisoner were killed in the attack and six police officers were injured; numerous other prisoners escaped, including at least seven Maoists. Officials believe that the attack was designed to aid in prisoner escape.
