11/04/2012: Gunmen shot and killed Abdul Rehman in Kumbar Maidan town, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan. Rehmen was a member of a local peace committee and was associated with Jamaat-i-Islami; he was also a former councilor. Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility for the incident, stating that Rehman was an obstacle in the Islamic system.
