Incident Summary:

10/30/2012: An explosive device detonated near the vehicle of Muhammad Ibrahim Akhundzada in the Diwana Varkh area of Deh Rawud district, Uruzgan province, Afghanistan. Akhundzada, the head of the Uruzgan provincial council, escaped the attack unharmed; however, the vehicle was damaged in the blast. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the incident.
