Incident Summary:

10/19/2012: Assailants launched an attack on a police checkpost in Gereshk district, Helmand province, Afghanistan. The group of assailants included a cook, who poisoned the officers' food, and an Afghan police officer, who shot the victims, while additional assailants opened fire on officers outside the checkpost. A total of six officers died in the attack. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the incident.
