10/13/2012: Assailants opened fire on a group of soldiers from the Filipino Army in Lamitan city, Basilan province, Philippines. Three soldiers were killed in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, authorities attributed it to the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG).
