Incident Summary:
10/07/2012: Assailants opened indiscriminate fire at a Pakistan People's Party (PPP) rally in Khairpur district, Sindh province, Pakistan. Seven people were killed and another 10 injured in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, Azizullah Janwari was considered to be the prime suspect. Janwari was killed on October 30, 2012 when gunmen attempted to free him from police custody. Additionally, sources stated that the shooting may have been part of an altercation between two Janori tribes who are political rivals.
